Year 5 and 6 - Wimbledon Book Fest

Year 5 and 6 were offered the wonderful opportunity to attend the Wimbledon BookFest to see the famous comedian Sir Lenny Herny, on Monday 27th February at the New Wimbledon Theatre. All children revieved a copy of ‘The Book of Legends’ and a copy of Lenny’s World Book Day book ‘The Boy with Wings’ funded by Wimbledon BookFest.

Years 5 and 6 were inspired by an afternoon of fun storytelling with a World Book Day author. Lenny read out excerpts from his laugh out loud, hugely thrilling, book all about mythical legends where everything changes! We were fortunate enough to be sat in the front few rows and Dylan from 5E was called up on stage to create a character with Lenny.
