Y4 - Morden Islamic Community Centre

This week, Year 4 had a fantastic trip to the Islamic Community Centre, where they gained valuable insights that link to our RE and Worldviews enquiry question: How Important Are Our Beliefs?
During the visit, the children learnt about the different ways Muslim followers demonstrate their commitment to their faith, including through prayer, baby ceremonies, clothing, time, and pilgrimage. They also enjoyed exploring connections between Islam and other world religions and belief systems, deepening their understanding of shared values and traditions.
A particular highlight of the trip was the opportunity to experience a pilgrimage to Mecca through a Virtual Reality (VR) device, which the children found both exciting and immersive. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and enriching experience for all.
